MAINTAIN!
In the Nigerian local parlance, when we say to anyone ‘maintain’ what we mean is be yourself. Do you know yourself Child of God? One of the dimensions of you is the salt dimension. As a child of God, you are here on earth as salt to season the earth and bring out the God-flavors. Without you and other believers, the earth will self- destruct so God put us here to preserve His goodness, loving kindness, and mercy on the earth; things that make it impossible for the destruction that would have wiped out the earth. It is therefore crucial that we know who we are and ‘maintain’. In our text, the Lord Jesus is saying to us that if we fail to ‘maintain’ we stand the danger of being consigned into life’s garbage, and that means we would have lost our usefulness. Can you afford that? No, you can’t! A situation where because you are no longer useful, everything and anything now dominates you and overwhelms you cannot be something you want to experience.’Maintain’ and stay useful.

So glad I came to your site. That was a timely word. It is difficult to "Maintain" and to stay the course at times and not to allow our circumstances to navigate who or where we are.

I have seen the Salt covenant that GOD has with HIS people. Inseparable! When two are married in traditional ways, they each put a bag of salt together into one larger bag. The point being that once that happens, just like when GOD connects and entwines HIMESELF with us, there's NO WAY to remove the crystals from each other. No way to say, ok, these were mine and those were yours. No! Hallelujah! We are entwined with HIM forever!
